We will have a hot dog cookout this Sunday, November 9th after the morning service. We will also be playing flag football, watching some football, and hopefully getting in some hoops at pastor Scott’s again. Make sure to invite your friends to come out for this Sunday afternoon activity. Please bring 3 dollars to cover costs. Your parents can meet you at Sunday Night Praise at 6:00pm.

I was thinking that we need to meeting together more often and I have an idea I will run past you.
I thought is would be cool if on the second Sunday of every month (the Sunday of our Sunday Night Praise) we would just all stay together after the morning service and hang out, get lunch, spend time in our community doing ministry opportunities, hanging out at peoples homes, playing games, ect… Really, just being together as a youth group and growing together. We would then go back to church that night for the Sunday Night Praise and you could catch up with your parents there. What do you all think, and what ideas do you have?
Here is your first blog assignement. Look up Colossians 2:7 and tell he how it relates to our Youth Group Name “ROOTED.” The first teen that posts their thoughts, will get a special prize from Mr. Garratt.

I thought I would start a blog up for us to talk about issues you are having or just to keep in contact through the summer. I am trying to get the “rooted” page on the church’s website updated for you all to check out from time to time as well.
One update to keep in mind is an upcoming Youth Activity on Friday, June 27th at my house. The activity will start at 6:00pm and go to 9:00pm. We will get some food, play some video games on the big screen, and have a time in the Word of God and prayer. This is going to be a great time, so you do not want to miss it. Be inviting all your friends and be watching the blog and website for more details coming soon!
